While our environmentalists debate ways to reduce man's carbon footprint,the world's unconcerned mass continue to increase it.
The most effective way forward is for the United Nations to compel governments to police the process through legislation which :
- Enforces recycling.
- Reduces pollution.
- Promotes healthy living : Diet ,Exercise ,Recreation etc.
- Reduces energy consumption.
- etc. ...
At the same time intensive grassroots education programmes on the issue must begin.
Otherwise COP 17 will go down in history as a useless exercise!
